Summer Staples

As the weather gets hotter, it's only right to pull out our summer wardrobes. In this week's post, I want to share some of my summer wardrobe staples. All of the items I will be mentioning are things you may already have, so there is no need to purchase a whole new look, it's all in the styling (which means you can spend more money on your holidays).

Layered Gold Jewellery

Gold jewellery is the perfect accessory to bring out that summer tan. There are so many jewlwerry shops online that sell affordable items that don't tarnish or rust, specifically for a beach holiday.

Oversized Jumpers

Especially in the UK, the evenings are still pretty chilly and therefore, I think it's always necessary to have a staple jumper. I would always recommend colours such as blue or white as they will go with everything.

Linen Striped Trousers

Spripped trousers are the staple of 2024. They are comfortable and relaxed which makes them the perfect item to bring on all your holidays this year. Although we aren't trying to spend money this summer, If you don't already own a pair, I would recommend purchasing some from Tom's Trunks or M&S.

Biker Boots

Bring last year's autumn style into this year's summer. Biker boots and short dresses and skirts are the perfect outfit for a day out.

Baby Yellow

Yellow is 2024 summer's colour and I am all for it. If you don't already own any yellow, don't worry, I would just recommend booking a manicure and going for a pastel yellow to stay within the trend without buying anything.

Platform Flipflops

Flipflops with a fresh pedicure is all that is required this year! And adding a small platform to your flipflop elevates an outfit with that 2024 style.

Boyfriend Shirts

As I do almost every year, I would always recommend making a 'boyfriend' shirt your staple for the summer. An unbuttoned shirt with a pair of jeans or shorts looks stylish and effortless while protecting yourself from the sun.
