Scandi Style

During Easter, my friend and I are taking a city break to Copenhagen so I need to start planning my outfits. The 'Scandi style' has recently become very popular on social media, focusing on effortless and stylish basics. The style brings back the minimalist aesthetic while still having an element of playfulness and individualism. In this week's post, I want to share what I will take for the week away.

- The PJ look

Stripped joggers and linen trousers matched with a simple top or jumper are all you need to run errands around the city. Paired with some Uggs the outfit looks comfortable while still having an element of urbaneness.

-Big bags

Big leather tote bags have a level of sophistication that tells everyone that you are organised and have your shit together for a day out in spring.

-Fur jacket

The 'mob wife' aesthetic has entered into everyone's life in some element or another but largely to do with faux fur. Not complaining- fur jackets elevate any outfit, especially for the Scandinavian winter weather.

-Sweater weather

It will still be cold during Easter so I will be packing all of my simple knits. It makes travelling easier as you can style multiple outfits for the week to come in Copenhagen, as well as keep me warm!

-Oversized scarf

Another essential for the Scandinavian weather is scarves, but more specifically oversized scarves which take over the entire outfit, giving an effortless effort look- perfect when it's freezing outside.

-Shirts

When the weather does eventually give us the spring sun; a loose shirt with a pair of jeans and a baguette bag is all you need to keep your outfit Scandi chic.

-Clean girl nails

The whole aesthetic of a 'Scandi girl' is to have a mature use of colour which keeps their aesthetic clean and sophisticated. Next nail appointment I will be asking for a neutral chrome or light pink to go with my new Copenhagen style.

-Simple with a pop of colour

As mentioned briefly, 'Scandi style' focuses on a basic collection of clothing with an element of surprise, often coming from colour, usually from a bag or pair of trainers (I will be making sure to bring my red Adidas).

Love, Aria
