Since A levels finished I have been crazy about travelling, so this week my friends and I have taken the Eurostar and travelled over to Paris for a week of fashion, culture and croissants.
In order to be prepared for Paris, the first thing on my list was to research Parisian style so that I would fit in with the locals while also making the streets my runway. The style in Paris focuses on simplicity with also bringing in statements with accessories.
In this week's post, I wanted to share with you how you can still have that Parisian style without it costing you a fortune and still within budget. Some of these outfits, as mentioned below the images were taken during the day and others before a night out for dinner or the Paris Nightclubs.
Sunday
Started my trip with a vintage cream corset and blue boyfriend jeans, paired with Nike hightop trainers, and obviously accessorised with sunglasses and a shoulder bag.
Monday
Monday night we headed to Pink Mama for some cocktails and pizzas. Of course, I wore my favourite Realisation Par dress.
Tuesday
In order to pack for Paris, I created outfits before I got there. I brought: two shoes; high black boots and trainers, one jacket, two pairs of jeans, and a couple tops to swap between, as well as a couple clubbing/ going out dresses.
Rewearing clothes are important when travelling; therefore, I wore a similar outfit to the other day, but, replaced it with a green silky top.
Wednesday
The weather was getting a bit colder but still sunny so I wore my leather flared trousers and a Moncler top with my leather jacket in case it got cold.
The whole week during the day I would stick to my trainers as it allowed me to walk for longer than my boots, and I stuck with one bag for the week that went with all my outfits.
Thursday
Another day of walking, but also vintage shopping which meant that I wanted to look fashionable. I went for simple this week, however, loved to add my own twist to the Parisian style, therefore, I wore my simple black skirt and black cardigan with jewels that read 'Babe' which added something to the simple outfit.
Friday
During the day we went to Maire Antoinette's palace so I wanted to dress according to my vintage matching top and cardigan and my second pair of jeans (Levis 501).
That night we wanted to go out to the clubs so we dressed up but kept it simple so we could be let in the boujer clubs. I wore my Jaded top and matching skirt, with my black boots and leather jacket.
Saturday
Last night in Paris, we had to go bar hopping around the city! I wore an upcycled shirt that was backless and the same black skirt I wore earlier, dressed up with my high black boots.
My tip to take away from this post is that one shouldn't overpack, wearing clothes makes your suitcase so much lighter! If you want to fit into the Parisian lifestyle- stick to basics; colours and quality are important, that doesn't mean designer items, just style and class!
Love,
Aria XO
