Tote Bag Essentials

For the past week, I have been on holiday in Portugal, this has been the first holiday I have been on since COVID, and I believe for many others as well. Since we all haven’t been on holiday in a while I thought I would share a packing list for your beach tote bag.

1. Water

Hydration is so important when under the sun, especially sunbathing for a long time.  Always carry a little bottle of water or something fizzy to keep refreshed

2. Sunglasses

Sunglasses not only keep your eyes protected but make your outfit! I love collecting different styles and colours for different occasions

3. Book

At the moment I am reading a book of my booklist called Women don’t owe you pretty (you can read more in my previous post). Holidays are the perfect time to catch up on some ready. Head to a local book shop ( I like to purchase second-hand books from Oxfam bookstore) or a WH Smith in the airport and pick up that book everyone’s been recommending.

4. Magazine

Catching up with your favourite magazine is also perfect during a flight. There are lots to choose from at the airports WHSmith. My recent favourite is cosmopolitan as it's easy to read and has so many articles on different topics.

5. Hand sanitiser and mask

Lots of countries still have COVID cases so it’s important to remain safe when on holiday. Keep a little hand sanitiser and a pack of masks around on your trip.

6. Headphones and phone

When sunbathing I like to listen to my podcasts and favourite playlists. Relax by the pool and pop in your headphones and a cocktail.

7. Snacks

It’s a holiday so make the most of it. Bring all your favourite snacks, I especially like heading out to the supermarkets abroad as they have such interesting snacks which we can’t get in the UK!

8. Sun cream and lip balm

Getting that glowing skin is important on holiday but no one likes a sunburn. Make sure to keep a sun cream and I always get chapped lips so I make sure to bring my Glossier coconut lip balm!

9. Hair jaw clip

Lastly, I always like to bring my jaw clip as a practical accessory for after a swim or a walk around town.

Hope this helps anyone who’s planning to get away this half term!

Love, Aria
