My Top Three Quick Breakfast Ideas!

In this post, I want to share with you my top three breakfasts that are super easy, quick and affordable! These meals can be adapted to fit anyones dietary requirements and they use ingredients that would usually be found in someones fridge/pantry!

Smoothie Bowl

Like all of the recipes, there are so many different ways to make them, including this smoothie bowl. I like to keep mine simple, however, the more fruit and veg the better. It's better to wing how much of the ingredients you use as the texture always changes, however, don't use too much milk as it will make your smoothie too runny!

Half a banana

Milk (I use oat milk)

Flax seeds

Chia seeds

Frozen berries; raspberries, blueberries and blackberries

Toppings; the remaining banana, granola and more berries!

Blend all the ingredients together, then add your toppings!

Porridge

Porridge is super easy and there are so many different tops to chose from. This porridge recipe is my favourite and I have it most days, it's especially nice in the winter to warm up your mornings!

1 Apple (chopped)

Sachet of porridge (1/3 cup)

Milk (I used oat milk)

Pitch of cinnamon

Toppings; flax seeds, chia seeds and peanut butter

Place the apples, porridge oats and milk in the microwave and heat until the oats are cooked. You may need to stir the porridge a few times to soak up the milk!

Baked Oats

Baked oats has become such a big trend at the moment and there are so many different kinds to choose from! This is a more simple version as I need it to be quick and easy before I get to work, but if you have more time definitely try out the more interesting kinds!

1/2 cup oats

1 tbsp flax seeds

Half a banana

2/3 cup milk (I use oat milk)

Handful of berries (I used raspberries)

Tsp baking powder

Pinch of cinnamon

Tbsp peanut butter

Toppings; rest of the banana, berries and chia seeds

Blend all oats together first, then the rest of the ingredients together and place in a bowl. Then put a tablespoon of peanut butter and cover with the rest of the batter and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes!
