my happy place

Now that schools back and works getting a little harder I thought it would be a good time to share things I do to relax, this can be at the end of the day or at the weekend. I think learning when to relax is so important for a busy lifestyle and it's actually a lot harder than most people think. Hopefully, if I share some of my tips it can help you to find yours!

1. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, however, I find it really calming sometimes to take my dog out on a walk, either with someone or by myself with my headphones in. It's good exercise and it makes your dog happy which will actually make you feel much happier as well.

2. The first thing I do after is to go for a nice hot bath, with a book, a lush bath bomb and my favourite candle. I know some people don't like baths but it makes me feel so relaxed and clean.

3. Face masks are vital when trying to relax, I think if you are going to go all out you should do a whole pamper night, however, if you are too tired, a face mask is a way to go!

4. Get into something comfy and cosy up in your favourite blanket, especially now the weather is getting a bit chilly it's the perfect time to wrap yourself in a fluffy blanket.

5. When it comes to food I have to be in the mood to cook, if I'm really tired I like to order something, usually pizza or if I have a bit more energy I will make myself my favourite meal and favourite dessert! I love cooking and baking so this always makes me feel super relaxed after a long day.

6. The final thing I always do to wind down is put on a good movie. I love finding new movies to watch, however, sometimes I like to just put on an old classic. My favourite at the moment is the Tim Burton classic- 10 Things I hate about you!
