Recently, Julia Fox spoke candidly about the death of her best friend, explaining that it was the moment she stopped seeing herself as invincible and finally understood how profoundly precious life is. That line resonated with me after another heavy weekend, with university deadlines looming and work the next day. For years, I’ve operated under a strict YOLO (You Only Live Once) mentality, which usually meant charging forward without genuinely thinking about the mental or physical cost. Whether it was sleeping with the wrong people or justifying habits like smoking on a night out, these actions were often performed without considering the consequences. I don’t regret the lessons I’ve learned; I fear it is part of the crossroads of our twenties.
