This year's fashion is focusing on simplicity and layers which means that the style is highly accessible to everyone's wardrobe. I've currently been having a big spring clean of my clothes before packing for university so I've gone back to basics and adding pieces to curate my updated style. In this weeks post, I want to share with you some of the current fashion trends of 2023 that everyone can wear and the essentials to building up this year's summer look.
Layered jewellery
Gold or silver? Or mix and match? Jewellery adds the finishing touches to every outfit so make sure you have enough jewellery to layer with .

Low top trainers
Adidas Sambas, Onitsuka tigers, Nike Dunks are the shoes of the season. Low top trainers can be styled so individually with the range of colours and types available. I would recommend having at least one pair in your shoe collection.
Linen
It's summer after all- everyone should have a pair of linen trousers in their wardrobe. They are comfortable and effortless while still bringing an element of class.
Simple
Brandy Melvile white/ black tops and vests are all you need to create a classic outfit. It can be dressed up or down depended on adding accessories.
Waistcoat
Sophisticated and simple... waistcoats are all the rage in high street brands at the moment. This is another garment that will add something to an outfit, and depending on how it's worn can be casual or for an evening out.
Oversized jeans
London summer is very unpredictable this year so I've been completely relying on my oversized jeans and they are great to add a casual element to an outfit without looking careless.
Sheer top
Especially for nights out, sheer tops are a perfect staple piece to style up without having to put any effort in.
Cowboy boots
These have been in for a while and I am keeping them in for longer. Cowboy boots are the ultimate shoe to style up an outfit and bring a vintage characteristic to your look.
Layering
Objective; you look like you stole you man's clothes and make it look better. Oversized shirts with a pair of jeans is all you need before running your errands while looking effortlessly stylish.
Big Tote
Enough with the micro, I'm going bigger- this year you should be prepared for anything and therefore need the biggest bag to fit every essential in.
Jorts
It's 2023 there's no more space in that wardrobe for uncomfortable shorts that ride up, just make that switch to longer shorts.
Birkenstocks
There has been an epidemic of Birkenstocks and they are here to stay. Sabots and Arizonas are the new shoes to style any outfit with, whatever the weather!
