It’s in the Name- Surfer’s Paradise.
The Gold Coast, more specifically Surfers Paradise was the next trip on my trip down the East Coast. This was a mixture of the beach and city lifestyle but felt more like LA than Australia. To be honest there wasn’t much to do here so I wouldn’t spend more than a couple days at most when travelling the East Coast. I spent a week in Surfers and think that was more than plenty of time!
In this week’s post I wanted to share what I did during my week in Surfers Paradise and what is worth spending your time doing.
Main beach
Obviously you have to spend a bit of time on Main beach when in Surfers and I would recommend doing a surf class if you can with Learn to Surf. This is the perfect way to spend a morning and will prepare you for surfing on the East Coast.
Burley
Burley Head is a lovely place just past Surfers which is only a short drive or a cycle away. It’s a very chill vibe with lots of bars and cute restaurants. If you have some time I would highly recommend going down there for a day or going bar hoping around that area.
Pacific Fair
Spend an afternoon in the biggest shopping centre in the Gold Coast- Pacific Fair! With every shop you could ask for and lots of restaurants and cafes, there is even an outdoor area with seating to relax. There is no way you are getting out of there without buying something.
Hope this helps you prepare for the Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise!
Love,
Aria XO
